WHAT ABOUT PEACE?

As magazines and movie screens are depicting life as a fun-filled ride

concerned only with celebrities and gossip

the most heart-wrenching thing is happening while we turn our backs and hide

directly under our nose, war and violence

But what about peace?

We are thinking about ourselves and our money

but when are the troops coming home?

Trying to improve the situation at hand by creating more war

But what about peace?

Even within the country, races and nationalities are constantly fighting

but when will everyone be equal and together?

The earth has never been perfect or in harmony

But what about peace?

A place with no guns, or fighting, or fear

Where problems can simply be resolved

Lets get peace moving into high-gear.

Instead of wondering how and where to find it,

we should be searching within ourselves to obtain true peace.
