WHAT IS PEACE?

Peace is a wonderful thing that everyone wants
But what is it? Has anyone given it any thought?
It’s written and spoken about in so many stories
It’s even talked about in the bible book that’s holy
Many people want it, but why does it seem?
That peace is the only UNSUCCESSFUL dream!
But wait…..what? The government says it can be ME
They say we can accomplish ANYTHING and be what we want to be
But what am I to say, I’m just an AVERAGE teen
I can make a change but WHY ME?
George Bush says we are trying to spread peace
I don’t see any change, do you agree?
Why is it? That I make change I’ll be hated
People will feel discriminated and that’s why I’ll be assassinated
Jesus, Ghandi, Martin Luther King
Why did they have to be assassinated so people could see THEIR dream?
Why is it to create peace we must start war?
To me, peace is the ONLY remaining locked door!
Without a key! This world is infected but has NO cure
With rape, murder, many crimes, the Iraq war.
The government gives us cops that we pay our taxes for,
But almost every crime done, they seem to ignore
With these many crimes, cops don’t want to deal with it
Racism is still ALIVE there just a different name for it
Crimes, drugs, wars done everyday
I just need 1500 minutes from T-Mobile, so people can hear what I got to say
America wants to start peace when our country is CORRUPTED
Yet our country tells all the other countries they are TOO disrupted
So what is peace ? Is it a reality ?
Is the government telling the truth, what are they hiding?
If the government wants to become at peace,
the PEOPLE should be at peace
The people should begin with YOU and ME
So when u ask me WHAT IS PEACE?
I don’t know, YOU TELL ME!
